ABOUT THE CLUB
The goal of The Friday Nighters Dancing Club has never changed since its beginning in 1945 to provide good fun through ballroom dancing. All members must be interested in dancing and having a good time.
In the fall of 1945, a group of employees of the Farm Administration (now Farmers Home Administration), an agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, were participating in the usual coffee break in the South Agriculture Building, Washington, D.C. Someone suggested that the members of the group, with husbands and wives - at least those who had such luxuries - get together at some inexpensive night club or other appropriate place for an evening of dancing. This is how it all began...
